The choir is very much like a large family. Every year brings inevitable change and new Denbigh choir members.
New Accompanist
We are pleased to welcome our new accompanist, Nia Jones, following her appointment on March 22, 2016.
Nia has been attending practices for the last three weeks. During which she has been assisted and guided by Joyce Davies, our long standing and loyal accompanist for many years.
A warm welcome is extended to Nia. We hope this will be the start of a long and happy association.
New Denbigh Choir Members
New faces are most welcome at anytime. To have four new choristers at the same time is winning the jackpot.
Especially when three out of the four happen to be the rare breed of first tenors.
All three are very experienced having sang with previous male voice choirs.
John Price
Strictly speaking, John is not a new face to our choir. He was previously a member over twenty years ago.
John has acquired vast male voice choir experience with other north Wales choirs. He is currently still a member of Côr Godre’r Aran.
John is also an experienced soloist and competes at the National Eisteddfod of Wales. Welcome back John!
Reg Jones
Another new face for our choir but a familiar one in north Wales choral circles.
A long time friend of John Price, Reg has been a member of Trelawnyd MVC, Colwyn MVC and Cantorion Colin Jones.
Gwynfor Evans
Gwynfor is another tenor with decades of experience singing with male voice choirs. A native of Llangwm he was previously a member of Llangwm MVC.
For the last twelve years he has been a member of Llanddulas MVC.
His brother, Trebor Lloyd Evans, is a winner of the coveted Blue Riband prize at the National Eisteddfod in Bala in 2009.
Mark Parry
Sings regularly at the Denbigh Folk Club.
His guitar was a good accompaniment to the singing at the choir annual dinner.
Mark is an experienced actor who appears regularly with local am-dram companies.
Finally, a warm welcome to you all.
