A joyous wedding season is in full swing. Denbigh & District Male Voice Choir bring the joy of choral singing to marriage ceremonies.
Wedding of Anna and Nathan
Following Anna’s visit to a Denbigh & District Male Voice Choir practice, and after long months of planning and waiting, Sunday 28th May 2023, arrived for her to marry Nathan.
The venue for the happy occasion being the historic St Mary’s Church, Cyffylliog.
A welcoming sign on an easel outside the church provided an apt reminder that the forthcoming service was to bind families together.
Choir Entertains Arriving Guests
The choir entertained arriving guests with new additions to the choir’s repertoire, ‘My Luve is Like a Red, Red Rose’, ‘Seal Lullaby’, ‘Silver Trumpet’, ‘Gwinllan’, ‘Autumn Leaves’ and ‘Love Changes Everything’.
Old favourites such as ‘Rachie’ (I bob un sydd ffyddlon), ‘Myfanwy’, ‘O Gymru’, and ‘Amen’, also included.
A Joyous Wedding
Anna entered the church with the choir singing her chosen song ‘What a Wonderful World’. A great start.
The service, conducted with good humour by Reverend John Searle, a joy to behold.
Music performed by the choir during the service included ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘Gwahoddiad‘, ‘The Rose’ and ‘You Raise Me Up’.
Moreover, the rousing singing of the hymn ‘Give Me Joy In My Heart’ had the bridesmaids happily dancing and clapping along.
A joyous wedding season is truly underway.

Footnote of Appreciation
Following the wedding of Lindsay and Sean the comment below was received from Jeff Wright, the Organist at the wedding.
‘What a wonderful wedding you sang for on Saturday at All Saints Church, Deganwy. I have been an organist for 60 years now, the last 20 at All Saints. I honestly think that your singing at the wedding has been the most inspiring wedding I have ever played the organ for. Thank you so much. Blessings and regards to you all.’
Thank you Jeff for your very kind comment. It is very much appreciated.
