The wedding of Natalie and Jamie took place at Pentre Mawr Country House, near Llandyrnog, Denbigh, on Saturday, June 9. The recent glorious sushine continued. No wedding couple could have asked for anything better.

The welcoming and homely Pentre Mawr looked the perfect setting for a summer wedding.

Furthermore, we feel very much at home here as we have sang at several previous weddings.

The brilliant sunshine created a leisurely yet vibrant scene.

Our first spot was on the front lawn. A perfect setting as arriving guests were served drinks and canapes.

The first songs received warm applause. The lullaby ‘Hine E Hine’ causing a calming effect before the rousing finale of ‘Safwn yn y Bwlch.’

We then moved to the decorated Wedding Service area with seating for invited guests.

We sang ‘Take Me Home’ and ‘O Gymru’ before Natalie made her stunning and dramatic entrance to our rendition of ‘The Rose’.

The wedding service, taken by Registrar, Mair Hughes was happy and celebratory as vows were exchanged.

Mr and Mrs Paweleck

The loudest cheer erupted, corks popped, when Mair invited Mr and Mrs Paweleck to enjoy their first marital kiss. Actually it was two.

Natalie and Jamie met at the Etihad Stadium. They are both season ticket holders and avid supporters of Manchester City. If only we had known beforehand we could have sang ‘We are the Champions.’

No prizes for guessing which team eight month old son Reggie is going to support.

During the signing of the wedding register we also sang ‘You Raise Me Up’.

Mr and Mrs Paweleck then led the colourful Wedding Procession as we provided the musical backdrop with the requested ‘Moon River’.

We thank Clwyd Wynne, our deputy conductor, and accompanist Nia Jones for their sterling work under the intense heat.

We were delighted to have our photo taken with Natalie and Jamie. Thank you for inviting us to be part of your very special day.

We wish them every future happiness.

We had the privilege of being invited to Dan and Lisa’s wedding. The presence of the choir was a pure joy to experience. Music, song and laughter .. Hiraeth !
