The imposing Trevor Hall was the backdrop for the Wedding of Aled and Alice on Saturday, 30th June 2018. This glorious summer continued. Their long awaited special day had arrived.
Trevor Hall Mansion has been home to powerful and distinguished families in Llangollen since 1742. The superb house and views also made it the perfect wedding venue.
The Bridegroom Awaits
Whilst the choir was setting up, Aled, the best man and ushers greeted arriving guests.
Moreover, in such hot weather, the plentiful supply of cold, bottled water was much appreciated.
Choir entertains guests
Guests were taking their seats as the choir opened their contribution with ‘Y Ddau Wladgarwr’, ‘Let There Be Peace on Earth’ and ‘Gwario Mae’r Bore’. Similarly, a varied selection of music followed.
‘Get Me To The Church On Time’ and ‘African Prayer’ always well received.
Alice’s entrance was accompanied by the choir performing ‘The Rose’, with Peter Davies in fine voice for his solo.
Wedding of Aled and Alice Marriage Ceremony
Then the Minister conducted the marriage ceremony with affection and humour. Aled and Alice clearly enjoying the occasion.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the choir then led the singing of the requested ‘Calon Lan’.
The Bride and Groom left the ceremony to the choir performing the ever popular ‘You Raise Me Up’.
Peter Davies’ voice holding up well for his solo.
Choir Finale
As photographs were taken, the guests also enjoyed the choir’s background music. ‘Silver Trumpet’, ‘Welsh Trilogy’ and ‘We’ll Keep A Welcome In The Hillside’ were well received.
The wedding of Aled and Alice was completed by them joining the choir for a photograph.
Thank You
Finally, we would like to thank Aled and Alice for inviting us to be part of their special day.
We hope you and your guests enjoyed our contribution. Best wishes from all of us for a long and happy life together.
