The choir’s first concert of the season is almost upon us. It is a Charity Concert for St Kentigern Hospice.
St Dyfnog’s Church Llanrhaeadr
The charity concert is on Friday 15th April 2016 at 7 pm. The venue is the lovely St Dyfnog’s Church, Llanrhaeadr, near Denbigh. Admission is £10, inclusive of a glass of wine and nibbles.
Tickets are available in advance from Denbigh Chocolate Shop, Vale Street, Denbigh. Alternatively, payment is acceptable at the door.
As well as the concert, it is an opportunity to see the famous and beautiful stained glass Jesse Window.
Jane Hartley, Mezzo Soprano
Our guest soloist Jane Hartley, Mezzo Soprano, is also providing her services free of charge.
Jane performs regularly with the choir. She always leaves the audience wanting more due to her popular repertoire.
Debut performances
The concert will be the formal debut performance of new choir members, John Price, Gwynfor Evans, Reg Jones and Mark Parry.
In addition, our newly appointed Accompanist, Nia Jones, will also be making her first appearance with the choir.
Best wishes to all five of them.
St Kentigern Hospice Deserving Cause
As a result of the concert it’s hoped that funds will assist the local St Kentigern Hospice. Funds are needed to continue to provide their much-needed palliative care services.
This is a most deserving cause and a charity which is close to the choir’s heart.
In addition, a number of our former members have experienced the wonderful care and support provided by St Kentigern Hospice during periods of serious illness.
In conclusion, we are pleased and proud to have performed a number of charity concerts in aid of St Kentigern Hospice on previous occasions.
Your support would be very much appreciated.
