St John’s Church Llandudno Concerts are the mainstay of our summer concert programme.
The atmosphere welcoming as we make our entrance. The audience is always appreciative.
The facilities for all St John’s Church Llandudno Concerts are first rate. Ample changing room. Refreshments available before the concert and also at the interval. Amenable acoustics.
St John’s Church Llandudno August Concerts
Both August concerts featured female guest soloists. Making a welcome return appearance with the choir was Carys Eleri.
The talented soprano from Llandegfan, Anglesey, has only recently returned to the concert stage.
Carys gave a stunning rendition of ‘Beautiful Isle of Somewhere’ a long-forgotten, endearing song.
We also enjoyed singing ‘La Vergine’ with Carys.
‘Misty’ from Manchester writes on Trip Advisor:
“What a very warm welcome we had when we visited St John’s Church Llandudno for a concert.
Denbigh Male Voice Choir were singing, joined by Carys Eleri as soloist.
The singing was wonderful in both Welsh and English. Would definitely go again.”
At our second August concert the guest soloist was soprano, Catherine Mason.
Since childhood Catherine has a long association with Llandudno. Especially with St John’s Church Llandudno where she is a member.
Hilary from Norwich writes on Trip Advisor:
“We have attended several of these concerts and always enjoyed them. This is such a warm, welcoming 150 year old church.
The Denbigh Male Voice Choir sang a range of songs with harmony and power.
Our compère kept us amused. The soloist Catherine Mason was a delight especially in her rendering of Rutter’s Benedictus.
The rector Bev Ramsden set the whole evening off to a relaxed start with her enthusiastic words of welcome.
Well done St John’s and we shall return.”
It was good to see John Giddings and Dave Lycett from Wetley Rocks Male Voice Choir in the audience once again. Thanks for your continuing support.
In addition, we will return in September and October for two further St John’s Church Llandudno concerts.
We hope to see you there.
