Excitement is mounting as two male voice choirs plan joint concert in the summer of 2015.
The much respected Avon & Somerset Constabulary Male Voice Choir has been in existence for more than 40 years and is constantly in great demand to perform.
Led by their Musical Director, Alison Howell, they perform a very wide repertoire of music for all tastes. They have been winners of many choral competitions over the years. They also raise many thousands of pounds for charity organisations.
The choir go on regular outings and tours – but this will be their first tour to visit north Wales. The choir website describes ‘major concerts with other choirs and bands have produced lasting friendships both in the United Kingdom and abroad and forms an important part of the choir’s activities.’
The Denbigh & District Male Voice Choir is delighted to be asked to be their hosts. We also hope that we’ll also become a permanent link in the chain of friendship.
Choirs Plan Joint Concert
The tour plans are being arranged for the summer of 2015. It promises to be a great weekend and it will be a real pleasure to plan and perform a joint concert with them.
Arrangements are currently being discussed, and further details will appear in future blogs and newsletters.
In the meantime, as a taster, here is a link to their website where you can find out more about the choir and also listen to some of their CD Tracks. You can also find a puzzle or two.
