Like it or loathe it, the internet has changed the way that we communicate. There is some negative feedback about the darker aspects of the internet. But some people still regard it as the greatest invention of all time.
It put our choir website on the map.
An email now goes to the furthest places imaginable in nothing more than a second. The time it takes to press a button.
In a technological sense there is no doubt that ‘the world is getting smaller.’
The internet has enabled people from all over the world to talk, face to face, in real time, on Skype and FaceTime.
The ‘information superhighway’ is an integral part of everyday life. No question need be unknown.
Google, Yahoo and other search engines will answer the most obscure questions in the the blink of an eye. The time that it takes you to press the button.
Choir Website Launched
It was against this background that our ‘new’ choir website went ‘live’ in April 2014. We had no idea what reaction it would gain.
Would anyone want to know about the Denbigh and District Male Voice Choir?
Would peoples in distant and remote places of the world ever be able to find our choir website? And if they did, would they want to read about our parochial Welsh male voice choir?
The internet again has the capability to provide the answers. We now have a pictorial and numerical analysis of the global uptake of visits to our choir website.
Choir Website Visits
A map of the world below provides overwhelming evidence. It shows the number of visits to our choir website from all over the world.

As expected the UK has the most visits. Then followed by the USA in second place. A great deal of Welsh people emigrated to the USA. That may explain the interest from across the Atlantic.
But the third highest visits are from Brazil. Followed by Australia and Canada. That is surprising.
It would be so good to hear from any of our followers, particularly from our overseas supporters.
Please feel free to comment either at the beginning or end of this Blog.
What does all this mean to us? It makes us feel that music is an international language. Loved and appreciated the world over.
It also makes us feel proud and humble that we do indeed have followers from all over the world.
We are so grateful and thankful for all your support and encouragement.
