The wedding of Laura and Jonathan took place at Pentre Mawr Country House, Llandyrnog, near Denbigh on Saturday, August 25, 2018.

The setting of Pentre Mawr Country House, bathed in late Summer sunshine, looked impressive.

Pretty floral arrangements decorated the tables outside the front entrance.

Prosecco and other drinks, chilled in iced receptacles, out of the reach of the choristers who were about to burst into song.

Clwyd Wynne, our deputy conductor, and Nia Jones, accompanist, soon took us through our first medley of songs for arriving and appreciative guests:

· O Gymru (Keith Jones and Richard Lloyd providing a tenor duet)
· Take Me Home
· Do You Hear the People Sing

By this time, the guests were singing along with the choir, clearly enjoying the happy atmosphere.

After another short medley the choir moved to the main attractive Wedding Service courtyard.

The entering guests were met with a resounding ‘We’ll Keep a Welcome’ from the choir.

Trying to watch the conductor, I still managed to count six bridesmaids and delightful flower girls in a colourful and impressive procession.

Laura and her father then entered to the requested ‘Moon River’ sung by the choir. This was a special song for Laura and Jonathan. We hope they enjoyed our version.

During the signing of the register the choir sang:

Laura, from Llanddulas, has known Jonathan from Manchester for over six years.

They have lived together in Manchester for four years and start their married life as from today.
