Grant funding during austere times is virtually impossible to achieve.
However, Choir Treasurer, Gareth Evans, successfully bid for grant funding, not once, but twice.
Top Treasurer

Gareth Evans, 2nd Tenor,
An organisation’s Treasurer’s job is never easy at the best of times.
The tasks of keeping the organisation on a financial even keel is very demanding and time consuming. Almost a full time job!
As if that wasn’t enough, this year the choir committee set our Treasurer, Gareth Evans, a huge task of applying for grant funding. Not once but twice!
Undaunted, our ‘Top Treasurer’ was up for the job.
Gareth’s first task was to seek grant funding to replace and improve the choir’s

Some of the new sound system equipment
ageing sound system equipment.
Bought many years ago, the existing sound system was no longer ‘state of the art’.
Ably assisted by a small ‘Tech Team’ with knowledge of such things, they diligently researched and identified relevant items. A mammoth task completed.
All that was required now was to identify a source of grant funding. Gareth relished the task.
Cadwyn Clwyd and Brenig Wind Farm
Gareth eventually submitted a grant funding application to Cadwyn Clwyd and Brenig Wind Farm Community Fund.
We are very pleased to announce that the application was successful, enabling the choir to purchase all of the identified sound system equipment.
We would like to express our very grateful thanks to Cadwyn Clwyd and the Brenig Wind Farm Community Fund for your support.
We would not have been able to finance such a purchase at this time without it.
Moreover, our new, full Sound System was used for the first time at our concert in Neuadd Eleanor, Llanfair DC on Saturday 16th November 2024.
It was deemed to be a great success.
High fives to high fidelity.

Choir gets Shirty with Council!
Further funding was also sought to replace the current choir shirts.

Gronwy Wynne, Stage Manager
Our Stage Manager, Gronwy Wynne, had reported that our current shirts were no longer available to be purchased.
New choir members could not be issued with the appropriate shirt.
Having identified a new colour for the shirts, Gareth submitted a grant application to Denbigh Town Council towards the cost of purchasing them.
We are so pleased to announce that the grant application was successful and we are now in the process of ordering them from our suppliers.
Once again, the choir would like to express its grateful thanks to Denbigh Town Council for its continued support of the choir. It is very much appreciated.
The Gronwy Wynne mentioned in your article may be the very same person who attended DGS at the same time as me, and in the same class/year.
Please pass my name to him and my contact via this site.
Dioch, Thank you
