The February Denbigh Choir Newsletter features the British weather. Not even snow and freezing Siberian weather can stop the Choir meeting up for its weekly Choir Practice.
We appreciate such dedication and loyalty. Some members, and especially our accompanist Nia Jones, travel considerable distances to be present.
New Choir Members
New choir members are a rare species. But we are delighted to report that we have three recent new arrivals in the choir.
Alun Jones and Bryn Davies are experienced choristers with Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir.
Alun has responded to gentle persuasion to ‘come out of retirement’ and start singing once again.
Andrew Faulkner has no previous singing experience. On retirement he wanted a ‘challenging and interesting hobby.’ We hope the choir meets his needs.
Bryn Davies is a first tenor with experience with Trelawnyd
Male Voice Choir. He also plays in a Brass Band.
Welcome to our choir!
Dates for Your Diary
This year the choir celebrates its 30th Anniversary.
There is no better way to celebrate than to hold a Gala Concert.
The date is November 24, 2018.
We have once again secured the services of our Choir President, the irrepressible Caryl Parry Jones. She will be accompanied by Geraint Cynan.
Also appearing is Denbigh based Côr Cytgan Clwyd. A mixed choir who recently won at the Manchester Amateur Choral Competition.
The venue is the impressive St Asaph Cathedral.
World War 1 Centenary
A concert to commemorate the centenary of the end of WW1 will take place on September 8, 2018.
It will be a notable and poignant evening.
More details to follow in due course
