Nia Jones first anniversary with the choir is imminent.
The first anniversary of anything is always memorable.
It can be the foundation of further development. The cornerstone of future success.
We have been so fortunate with Nia’s appointment as our accompanist.
The first year has flown by. Looking back Nia Jones says:
“I’ve enjoyed getting to know everybody in the choir.
It’s all been lovely “
Her warm, infectious smile confirm her sentiments.
Nia Jones First Choir Concert
In short, her first concert with the choir could have been a daunting affair.
Thrown in at the deep end comes to mind.
Moreover, rehearsals with the choir amounted to three weeks. Barely enough time to put her song sheets in order!
Not to mention that Nia was also accompanying mezzo soprano Jane Hartley. On the same concert programme. No pressure there then!
With her mum and daughter Hanna in support, Nia carried all before her with style and panache.
It was an emotional evening. The choir also enlivened and elated. Another successful ‘first night’ for experienced music director Arwyn Roberts.
Of course, the accolades were justified.
Nia Jones First Anniversary
Overall, now with almost 20 public choir engagements behind her, Nia anticipates more anniversaries.
Her busy lifestyle suits her engaging personality.
A full time primary school teacher. She still finds time to pursue her many hobbies. These include exercising her horses.
Usually, it is customary to give gifts on anniversaries. Particularly wedding anniversaries.
Moreover, the first anniversary is often referred to as a ‘Paperversary’.
No prizes for guessing that the gift is of a paper nature.
Furthermore, we have showered Nia with plenty of paper – in the form of Song Sheets!
We hope the trend continues for many more future anniversaries.
Thank you Nia for a memorable first year.
Diolch Nia am flwyddyn gofiadwy.
