Denbigh Choir Annual Highlights In Verse
Denbigh choir annual highlights
Start with the Annual Dinner;
Read all about the fun and frolics
On Blog, Facebook and Twitter.
February saw Corws Colin Jones
In concert at the Denbigh Town Hall;
And for the Concert Finale
We were glad to accept the Call.
In March the choir returned to School
A concert with the pupils of Henllan;
The choir behaved and sang very well
And we all avoided detention.
In April our first wedding of the Year
At the Vale Country Club in Ruthin;
For the Wedding of Daniel and Lisa
Our ‘Myfanwy’ had a few people cryin’.
A first anniversary in April
Was a cause for celebration;
For Nia, our ‘new’ accompanist
Has become the choir’s salvation.
A Charity Concert for Eirianfa
And wherever we may roam;
It’s our regular practice venue
And charity begins at home.
Denbigh Choir Annual Highlights Concert Season
Our Concert Season is upon us,
It always starts in May;
Sankey Moody and St John’s;
And the CBUGS* from Colwyn Bay.
Ed: *CBUGS stands for Colwyn Bay Ukelele Group
A June Mayoral Civic Service
Followed by a Twinning Event;
Our friends from Biebertal were over
Celebrating *25 years well spent.
Ed: *Denbigh and Biebertal celebrate 25 years of Twinning
At Pentre Mawr Country House
A July Wedding for Alex and Kate;
A pleasant affair in fine weather
With nobody running late.
Then we sang at a Music Fest
An outdoor Gig in the sun:
Ricky Tomlinson, dressed as a chef
Provided most of the fun.
Our Autumn trip to Cardiff
Was a real capital treat;
A concert with our *President
Was also hard to beat.
Ed: * Choir President Caryl Parry Jones was our Guest Artiste
Another first for the choir
Entertaining shoppers at Tweedmill;
We were pleased with the venture
Hoping they did well at the till.
Ed. We will be returning there on January 27, 2018
Denbigh Choir Annual Highlights Nearly Over
Then, with the year nearly over
A Gala Concert to perform;
In front of a packed St Mary’s
Hoping we were on top form.
All went according to plan
The concert was a night to remember;
And Sioned Terry and John Ieuan Jones
Warmed hearts on a cold November.
Ed: Not forgetting Arwyn Roberts and Nia Jones!
In short we intend to give you a treat
To hear without much delay;
Most of the songs from the concert
Starting on Christmas Day!
Ed: The choir take this opportunity to wish all our regular readers and supporters a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Calendar, gallery blogs and profiles
Bang up to date on PCs and mobiles.
Richard works hard to amuse and inform
Of where the choir’s been and where next will perform.
Our grateful thanks for “banging our drum”
We hope you’ll continue for a long time to come.
Cheers Richard – a grand job
